Phillies Vs. D-backs

Yesterday we were able to go to a Phillies Baseball Game!! I haven’t been to a professional baseball game since I was in sixth grade, maybe even younger and I forgot how much I love baseball. Kolb grew up playing so he was even more excited to go to the game. To start out our adventure we all jumped in the car and headed downtown around 5 but didn’t end up getting to the game until after 7. Downtown Philly is only about 30 min away but traffic was CRAZY! It’s always crazy!!! I don’t know what it is about Philadelphia but I don’t think there is a time of day where there is no traffic!! I am defiantly a west coast girl when it comes to that.. I miss the friendly wave people give as you let them in, people that don’t honk their horn every two min, understanding where to go while driving, etc. Just before we left to go to the game my loving husband told me to grab a jacket just in case it rains… because it always does here... I listened of course like a good wife but then when we got to the game it was so hot and humid that I thought there was no way it would rain and I didn’t want to get stuck carrying a jacket so I left it in the car, and talked him into leaving his in the car. Well low and behold he was right. He seems to always be right.. haha because it POURED!!!!! It rained for a good 45 min maybe longer. It was funny because right when it started raining I knew I should have listened. They covered the field and we all waited and then eventually when the rain started to die down they continued on playing. We were all pretty sad about the rain until we were sitting 12 rows from first base. So many people left because of the rain that we were able to move up seats, it was awesome! All in all we had a great time eating Philly cheese steaks, getting rained on, being with friends.. I just want to thank my husband for working so hard so that we could go to the game, and thanks to Danny and Ryan for getting the tickets! We had a blast!!

This is us before the game! Wearing Phillies red!!

A Fun New Change...

This summer has been so fun! We are lucky enough to have a wonderful cosmetologist out here with us in Philly. Her name is Britney Hemsley and she is one of the wives out here for the summer. She is so good at what she does and one day she said I should die my hair dark brown. I’ve died my hair brown before but it was a lighter brown and I didn’t really love it so I was kinda nervous. With all the wives as peer pressure and my faith in Brit I had her do it. It turned out great and I love it. It is such a fun change so thanks Brit for the fun idea and thanks to all you girls for talking me into it! Shannon also cut my hair a little shorter. Her and I have been spending tons of time together and one day we just had this crazy idea to change it up a bit. She did such a great job and I love it so thanks everyone for all the help! It's so much fun to have a new hair do. This is the only picture I have of it for some reason so thanks Shann for letting me take it off your blog! I will be posting more pictures of our adventures soon :)!

Whitney's Wedding!!

This post is a little late but I couldn't leave it out..One of my best friends Whitney Gibson got married to Cameron Clark May 2, 2009. I was so sad because I didn’t think I would be able to go to her wedding because we had just moved to Philadelphia. I kept going back and forth because I wanted to go so bad but flights are expensive when you wait so long to book them. I was so blessed because the night I decided that I wanted to go, my Dad looked online and the tickets from Philly to anywhere were 50% off. So we bought the ticket and I was able to fly home and surprise her. It was so fun to be able to be there on her special day and to be with my family. The only thing that would have made it better was if Kolby was there with me. I am so thankful for Kolby and all the hard work he does for our family. I am such a lucky girl! These are some pictures from her reception.

Our First Trip To Washington D.C.

We had such a fun time going to Washington D.C. this last weekend. There was of course lots of walking involved but it was well worth it. We were able to go with a big group of our friends which made it so much more fun! Kolby and my favorite place that we went was either the Holocaust Museum or to see the White House. We have never seen the White House and thought it was so cool to finally see it. The Holocaust Museum was amazing and I recommend it to everyone. There was a special feeling in that museum and you could tell how much time and effort they put into everything so that people will always remember. We came out of there feeling so grateful for the country we live in, and for all the blessings we have in our life… and for sure it gave me a little motivation to try harder to appreciate the little things in life and to enjoy every day.. Live life to the fullest. Sometimes I think it’s easy to take for granted the simple things that life has to offer .. what a great eye opener that was for us. All in all it was a great day and for sure we will have to take another trip back because there is SOOOOOooo much to do and see.

Enjoy the Moments!

As most of you know we are living in PHILADELPHIA for Kolby's work this summer!! Kolby is working for APX alarm and this is his second summer doing it. We have been out here for about a month and are loving every moment! It is such an awesome place to live with so many fun things to do and see. We are also blessed to be out here with some of our best friends and even family! Angela and her family have been living here while Jeff has been going to medical school and we are so lucky because they only live about twenty minutes away. She picked me up one day (because I was too scared to drive, this place is CRAZY!!!) and we got water ice which is a really yummy treat here and then pretzels then a special kind of pizza they make here. I sure love you Angela you are so fun to be around and I just love your little boys! Thanks Jeff for getting the yummy pizza that was so fun. Can't wait unil you guys come back from Boise! We have also been able to go site seeing on Sunday's when Kolby doesn't have to work which has been so awesome! I will post pictures later! Anyways we are loving the summer and any visitors are welcome!
